Kids Fringe!
This year we have some great programming for Kids Fringe on both weekends! This year we have Bits & Pieces Puppet Theatre bringing us The Selfish Giant’s Garden (an adaptation of an Oscar Wilde story!), and our Kids Fringe Devising Workshop, but we also have a variety of all ages & PG shows! Please note the age ranges on each show listing as you look through this program.
This year the Kids Fringe Devising Workshop and The Selfish Giant’s Garden will be held in Kress Contemporary.
The Kids Fringe Devising Workshop
June 13th, 1-3pm | Free
Kids will learn storytelling, improv, poetry, and more from special guest artists in the different spaces in the Kress from 1-230pm, and then will put on a variety show with what they’ve created at 2:30pm! This event is free, but reservations are recommended. Arts & crafts and activities will be available in Fringe Central during this time as well.
The Selfish Giant’s Garden
June 20, 12pm & June 21, 12pm | Kids – Free! Adults – $5
Once there was a giant who lived in a castle beside a beautiful garden filled with peach trees. One day he set off to visit an ogre who lived far away, and he stayed with him for many years. Believing the giant would never return, the townspeople allowed their children to play in the peach orchard as if it were their own little park. Join Bits N Pieces Puppet Theatre for a touching 35‑minute retelling of Oscar Wilde’s beloved tale.
