Clayton the Dork

Richard Pictures Presents

Clayton is 14, a freshman who spent middle school in Covid lockdown. Divorced parents, few friends, digs dragons, a real dork. Then one day, out of nowhere, Clayton becomes a hero. I mean, for real... This is a workshop performance of a new solo play by Brooklyn-based writer/performer Daniel McCoy. The play explores the thoughts and feelings of a teen boy in the first half of the 2020s as he enters a world of pandemic lockdown, political division, and the ever-present threat of school violence. This monologue-based performance also features voluntary audience participation. The subject is serious, but the approach is, hopefully, one of wonder and discovery. Clayton may be a dork, but he’s also our future.

This show allows late entry.
