My Dead Uncle’s Porn Collection

Barbara Brady

The Cabana (Tempus Projects in Kress Contemporary 1624 E 7th Ave)

I have to clean out my “funny uncle’s” house. He’s dead. The whole family knows about him because, somehow, he was allowed to be around. All the time. Every family gathering. We had to warn each new generation about him. We never understood why he was the way he was. Maybe there’s something in his house that’ll explain it.

MY DEAD UNCLE’S PORN COLLECTION is directed by Joyful Raven. It was developed with David Ford at The Marsh, San Francisco. Brady's work has been featured in the Bay Area’s premier performance series, including Solo Sundays at Stage Werx, and The Marsh. Brady’s first solo show, “Father, Daughter & Holy Toast” earned laudatory reviews at Orlando International Theater Festival, Cincinnati Fringe and Great Salt Lake Fringe.

Brady “commands the stage with a sense of ease that immediately draws in audience members.” (Front Row Reviewers)

“Impressive... this is a woman worth leaning in and listening to.” (Orlando Weekly)
